The dynamic strain gauge is an instrument used for experimental stress analysis and dynamic strength research. It converts specimen strain into electrical signals through resistance strain gauges. The dynamic strain gauge is required to monitor strain responses in structures under vibration, impact, and load variations in real time. These strain signals typically exhibit characteristics such as weak amplitude and susceptibility to interference, necessitating a high-resolution, low-noise analog-to-digital converter chip to enhance measurement accuracy and reduce errors.
The core features of the GXSC 24-bit 8-channel analog-to-digital converter, the GX1278, are well-suited for dynamic strain measurement requirements and support pin-to-pin replacement of TI‘s ADS1278. The GX1278 is specifically designed for high-precision dynamic signal acquisition, supporting 8-channel differential synchronous sampling with a maximum data output rate of up to 256KSPS. Internally, it includes functional modules such as Delta-sigma modulator, digital filter, serial port data output, clock, logic control, and 10 ports. Its characteristics align closely with the demands of dynamic strain measurement for "accuracy, high speed, noise immunity, and synchronization.".

The GX1278 not only achieves precise DC measurement characteristics but also maintains high-level AC performance. It offers five operation modes—ultra-high speed, high speed, high precision, low power consumption, and low speed—for user selection, which can be configured via hardware by setting the relevant pins. The on-chip digital filter converts the oversampled signal from the analog Delta-Sigma modulator into a low-noise digital signal.

Additionally, the data of the GX1278 can be read via a serial interface and supports both SP1 and Frame-Sync interface protocols. It also supports multi-chip cascaded output data and external synchronization, making it suitable for applications requiring more than 8 ADC channels. The operating temperature range supported is -55°C to +125°C.
