GXSC digital to analog converter replaces AD9764 for testing and measurement applications

Time:2025-12-30 Views:79
Testing and measurement technology is widely used in industrial production, electronic research and development, scientific experiments and other fields, supporting high-precision signal analysis and measurement. It can accurately generate standard test signals, collect and analyze the response characteristics of the tested object, and thus achieve performance verification and fault diagnosis. In the signal generation process, the resolution, update rate, dynamic performance, and stability of the analog-to-digital converter affect the fidelity and repeatability of the test signal. This article recommends using the GXSC single channel 14 bit 125MSPS analog-to-digital converter for testing and measurement systems.

The testing and measurement scenarios are diverse, such as function generators, arbitrary waveform generators, automatic test equipment (ATE) and other instruments that require high demand for analog-to-digital converters. GXSC analog-to-digital converters have characteristics such as 14 bit resolution, broadband high performance, and low power consumption. This device has excellent AC and DC performance, and supports an update rate of up to 125MSPS. It can replace AD9764 with PIN TO PIN for use in communication systems, base stations, ADSL/HFC modems, and instrumentation. Its high dynamic range and low power consumption characteristics make it very suitable for portable devices and industrial applications.
The GXSC digital to analog converter is manufactured using advanced CMOS technology and segmented current source structure, which not only reduces stray components but also improves dynamic performance. Integrated edge triggered input lock, memory, and 1.25V temperature compensated bandgap reference to provide a complete single-chip digital to analog conversion solution. Differential current output supports single ended or differential applications. In differential output mode, the matching between two current outputs can affect dynamic performance. The current output can be directly connected to the output resistor to provide two complementary single ended voltage outputs, or directly output to a transformer.

The device has on-chip reference and control amplifiers to provide maximum accuracy and flexibility. It can be driven by on-chip reference voltage or various external reference voltages. The internal control amplifier provides a wide adjustment range (>10:1), allowing the device‘s full-scale current to be adjusted within the range of 2mA to 20mA while maintaining excellent dynamic performance. Therefore, the domestic digital to analog converter can operate at lower power and can also be adjusted within the range of 20dB to provide additional gain variation.
