GXSC analog-to-digital converter replaces ADS8568 for application in programmable logic controllers

Time:2026-01-06 Views:32
Programmable logic controller is an automatic control device designed specifically for industrial environments, based on microprocessor technology and integrating computer technology, automatic control technology, and communication technology. It executes logical operations, sequential control, timing, counting, and arithmetic operations through programmable memory, and controls various mechanical or production processes through input and output. It has the characteristics of high reliability, flexibility, and ease of programming, and is widely used in industrial automation fields such as manufacturing, ore processing, and wastewater treatment.

The programmable logic controller receives analog signals from sensors such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and current through a data acquisition module, and generates digital signals after analog-to-digital conversion for subsequent logic operations. Due to the complex environment and high-precision control requirements of industrial sites, it is necessary for analog-to-digital converters to have multi-channel synchronous sampling to ensure consistent timing of multiple parameters; High precision and accurate capture of weak signals with strong anti-interference ability. The excellent performance indicators of the GXSC eight channel 16 bit 510kSPS synchronous sampling analog-to-digital converter fully match the requirements of this scheme.

The GXSC analog-to-digital converter is equipped with 8 16 bit fast, low-power sequential approximation ADCs, supporting synchronous sampling of 8 channels. Each channel has a conversion rate of up to 510kSPS and can convert true bipolar input signals up to ± 10V with only 5V power supply.
In order to simplify the PCB design of the data acquisition system, the chip is equipped with an input buffer with a 1M Ω input impedance and an anti aliasing filter for direct acquisition of analog signals. In addition, it also integrates a high-precision reference voltage generator and buffer that can be flexibly configured.

Advantages of GXSC analog-to-digital converter products:
ENOB: 14.6Bit (typical value)
SNR: 90dB (typical value)
SINAD: 89.5dB (typical value)
SFDR: -105dB (typical value)
INL: ± 1LSB (typical value)
DNL: ± 0.5LSB (typical value)
Working power consumption: 350mW (internal reference)
Working temperature: -55 ℃~+125 ° C
Product size, pins, functionality, and timing compatibility replace ADS8568
Single 5V power supply, compatible with ± 15V power pins, convenient for application
Lower bipolar level error, lower positive and negative full-scale error
Higher channel isolation

The GXSC analog-to-digital converter supports parallel or serial mode and can be configured through different connection modes of hardware pins. This function creates various connection conditions for the interface connection between the device and the microprocessor or DSP.
