Replacing the AD9253 with the GXSC ADC in Multi-Channel Online Vibration Monitoring Systems

Time:2026-07-07 Views:312
Multi-channel online vibration monitoring systems integrate unit condition monitoring, protection, and fault diagnosis into a single solution, offering advantages unmatched by traditional online vibration monitoring and protection systems. They are suitable for online vibration monitoring and protection of small- and medium-sized mechanical equipment such as compressors, fans, motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydro turbines, and steam turbines. The system promptly identifies abnormal equipment conditions, ensuring safe and reliable operation; it plays a crucial role in helping us understand equipment operating conditions and diagnose common mechanical failures at an early stage.

Vibration signals are key indicators of equipment operating conditions, containing a wealth of fault-characteristic frequencies and operational information. Through high-precision, multi-channel synchronous vibration acquisition and spectral analysis—using GXSC’s four-channel, 14-bit, 125 MSPS analog-to-digital converter—the system enables early fault identification and early warning of potential hazards, effectively preventing unexpected downtime and equipment accidents.

The GXSC ADC features a built-in sample-and-hold circuit and is specifically designed for low cost, low power consumption, small form factor, and ease of use. With a maximum conversion rate of 125 MSPS, it offers outstanding dynamic performance and low power consumption, making it suitable for applications requiring small package sizes. The device operates on a single 1.8V power supply and supports LVPECL/CMOS/LVDS-compatible sampling rate clock signals to fully leverage its performance capabilities. For most applications, no external reference power supply or driver devices are required.

GXSC ADC Product Advantages:
• Form factor and pin-out compatible with the reference model; supports pin-to-pin replacement of the AD9253
• Single-supply operation for greater convenience
• Low power consumption; no heat sink required
• Adjustable input voltage range
• Quiescent performance: DNL –0.9/+1.0 LSB, INL –5.0/+5.0 LSB
• Dynamic performance (fs = 125 MSps, input signal power –1 dBFS)
- fin = 9.7 MHz; ENOB = 11.7 bits, SINAD = 72 dBFS, SNR = 72.5 dBFS
-fin = 70 MHz; ENOB = 11.2 bits, SINAD = 69 dBFS, SNR = 69.5 dBFS
-fin = 128 MHz; ENOB = 10.5 bits, SINAD = 64.7 dBFS, SNR = 65.3 dBFS
-fin = 200 MHz; ENOB = 10.0 bits, SINAD = 61.9 dBFS, SNR = 62.5 dBFS

To achieve an appropriate LVDS serial data rate, this domestic analog-to-digital converter automatically multiplies the sampling rate clock. It provides a data clock output (DCO) for capturing data at the output, as well as a frame clock output (FCO) for signaling the start of a new output byte. It also supports individual channels entering power-saving mode; when all channels are disabled, typical power consumption is less than 10 mW.
