Replacing the STM32F407 with the GX32F407 MCU, Which Is Widely Used in Home Audio Equipment

Time:2026-10-10 Views:47
With the rapid popularization of the smart home industry, home audio equipment has evolved from traditional single-function playback speakers into intelligent terminals integrating high-fidelity audio playback, real-time sound effect processing, voice human-machine interaction, Bluetooth wireless transmission, and smart linked control. The equipment mainly includes six core modules: audio acquisition, signal processing, decoding and playback, sound effect tuning, human-machine interaction, and intelligent communication. This article recommends using a GXSC main control chip with strong computing performance and stable audio transmission to carry the home audio system architecture.
The GX32F407 MCU uses a high-performance 32-bit core with an operating frequency of 168MHz. The 32-bit core includes a floating-point unit and also supports DSP instructions and memory protection to enhance application security. Its computing efficiency is more than 30% higher than that of traditional Cortex-M3 core chips. This series of MCUs has built-in high-speed memory (up to 1MB of Flash and 320KB of SRAM), up to 4KB of backup domain SRAM, rich enhanced I/O ports, and peripherals connected to two APB buses.

The GX32F407 MCU has an operating temperature of -40 to +105°C and a supply voltage of 1.8 to 3.6V. Through the design of a series of energy-saving modes, it can be applied in some low-power occasions. The GX32F407 MCU provides four different package types ranging from 64 pins to 176 pins; depending on the package type, the peripheral configurations in the device are not exactly the same. Its features are as follows:
● LCD parallel interface, 8080/6800 mode
● 1.8V to 3.6V application supply and I/O
● 3 12-bit, 2.4 MSPS A/D converters
● 2 12-bit D/A converters
● Up to 17 timers: up to 12 16-bit and 2 32-bit timers, up to 168MHz
● Supports multiple low-power modes (sleep mode, stop mode, standby mode)
