Replacing the ADS8568 with the GXSC ADC for Multi-Channel Underwater Acoustic Signal Acquisition

Time:2026-06-29 Views:361
Underwater acoustic signal acquisition is a fundamental component of underwater detection and underwater acoustic communication. The acquisition system consists of a hydrophone array, a preamplifier and signal conditioning module, an anti-aliasing filter unit, a multi-channel synchronous ADC acquisition unit, and an FPGA-based high-speed data processing unit. Signals captured by the hydrophone array undergo low-noise preamplification and preprocessing before being converted to digital form by a high-precision synchronous ADC. The FPGA performs phase calibration and spectral analysis on the multi-channel synchronous digital signals, ultimately enabling functions such as underwater target detection and sound source localization.

Due to the complex underwater acoustic environment, underwater acoustic array systems require synchronized signals from multiple hydrophones. GXSC’s eight-channel, 16-bit, 510 kSPS synchronous sampling ADC features a full-channel synchronous sampling architecture, combined with 16-bit ultra-high resolution, high linearity, and low distortion characteristics; its parameters fully meet the requirements for multi-channel underwater acoustic array acquisition.
Each channel of this ADC achieves a conversion rate of up to 510 kSPS and, powered by a single 5 V supply, supports true bipolar input signals with a range of up to ±10 V. To simplify the PCB design of data acquisition systems, this ADC incorporates an input buffer with 1 MΩ input impedance and an anti-aliasing filter, enabling direct acquisition of analog signals. It also integrates a flexibly configurable, high-precision reference voltage generator and buffer.

GXSC ADC Product Advantages:
