GXSC FPGA Replaces XC7A100T/200T (Xilinx) in Wind-Measuring Lidar Applications

Time:2026-07-23 Views:280
Wind-measuring lidar detects atmospheric aerosol echo signals by emitting laser beams to accurately calculate atmospheric wind field parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, and wind shear. It offers advantages including high detection accuracy, non-contact measurement, high spatial resolution, and strong environmental adaptability. With the advancement of high-resolution meteorological monitoring and the intelligent operation and maintenance of wind power facilities, airflow sensing must balance instantaneous response with data accuracy. Traditional monitoring solutions suffer from shortcomings such as slow feedback and limited coverage; dynamic airflow environments demand higher standards for algorithm iteration and upgrades, while harsh operating conditions place greater demands on equipment durability and adaptability to specific scenarios.
The GXSC FPGA chip features a unique, low-power process that enables the device’s core voltage (Vccint) to operate between 0.85 V and 1 V while maintaining overall performance equivalent to that of industry-leading devices operating at 1 V. Designed specifically for medium-complexity scenarios, the chip targets cost-sensitive yet performance-critical fields such as industrial control, communication interface conversion, and medical electronics.
The GXSC FPGA achieves an advanced overall logic resource utilization rate of 80–95%, with an Fmax that exceeds the industry average. Its full-stack standard I/O types align with industry-leading devices, and even standard devices at conventional speed tiers support 1066 Mbps and 1866 Mbps DDR3 modes. Key parameters of the GXSC FPGA are as follows:
• LC(K): 220
• ERAM(Kb): 13,140
• CMU: 10
• DSP: 740
• DDR3: 1066 Mb/s
• Core Voltage (V) (Standard Version): 0.9
• Core Voltage (V) (Low-Power Version): 0.85
• Temperature Range: 0°C–85°C, -40°C–105°C
The advantages of using the GXSC FPGA in wind measurement LiDAR applications are as follows:
1. High-Performance Signal Processing: The FPGA solution efficiently performs waveform protocol conversion and precisely supports the transmission and reception of frequency-shift keyed laser pulses.
2. Flexible and Scalable Hardware Architecture: Supports large-capacity waveform storage and multi-channel DAC output, allowing flexible adaptation to different laser transmission modules.
3. Stable and Reliable System Control: The MCU and FPGA work in tandem to ensure stable system operation and precise measurements even in complex environments.
