GXSC ADC Replaces AD1674 in Industrial Automation Measurement and Control Applications

Time:2026-07-02 Views:354
High precision, high reliability, and modularity are the trends in modern industrial automation measurement and control systems. Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are widely used in various sensor data acquisition and control systems. Thanks to their high resolution and fast conversion rates, they serve as key components for processing complex signals, enabling high-precision process control and monitoring.

For example, in applications such as temperature control, pressure monitoring, and flow detection, analog-to-digital converters provide stable and reliable digital signal conversion, thereby ensuring the accuracy and stability of the entire system. This article recommends the GXSC 12-bit, single-channel, 100 kSPS analog-to-digital converter. This chip features comprehensive AC and DC performance characteristics, making it highly suitable for industrial automation as well as traditional DC measurement applications.

The GXSC ADC integrates an internal sample-and-hold amplifier, a 3.5V internal reference voltage, a clock, and a tri-state output buffer for interfacing with downstream processors. It operates on a single 5V power supply and supports the conversion of ±10V true bipolar input signals.
GXSC ADC Product Advantages:
ENOB: 11.9 bits (typical)
SINAD: 73.7 dB (typical)
SFDR: 101 dB (typical)
INL: 0.1 LSB (typical)
DNL: +0.05 LSB (typical)
Operating Power Consumption: 70 mW (typical)
Operating Temperature: -55°C to +125°C
Single 5V power supply; compatible with ±15V power pins for application flexibility
Dimensions, pinout, and functionality compatible with reference products
Better signal-to-noise ratio and higher linearity
Lower bipolar zero-level error and lower positive and negative full-scale errors
Features a ceramic-sealed CDIP28 package, compatible with the imported AD1674

Most industrial process parameters are continuous signals varying at medium to low speeds, requiring ADCs to have microsecond-level fast conversion capabilities. The high-speed conversion capability of the GXSC ADC is critical for real-time monitoring of dynamic processes, enabling systems to respond quickly to prevent potential production defects.
