GXSC ADC Replaces LTC2175 in Portable Medical Imaging

Time:2026-07-27 Views:271
The workflow of portable medical imaging consists of six major stages: signal transmission, acquisition of human body echoes, signal conditioning, analog-to-digital conversion, image reconstruction, and image output. The device featureshigh-definition imaging, low-noise image quality, long battery life due to low power consumption, compact integration, and multi-channel synchronous acquisition. This enables non-invasive visual diagnosis of human tissues and offers significant clinical value and market potential.
Traditional multi-chip, low-integration ADCs cannot achieve synchronous sampling; timing deviations between channels can significantly reduce imaging accuracy. GXSC’s 14-bit, 4-channel, 125 Msps analog-to-digital converter offers advantages such as four-channel synchronization, high dynamic range, ultra-low power consumption, a compact package, and energy-saving sleep mode, making it ideally suited for the requirements of portable medical imaging solutions involving multi-channel parallel acquisition, lossless sampling of image signals, low-power battery life, and high-density integration design.
The GXSC ADC’s dynamic performance metrics reach up to 74.8 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and 90 dB spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR), while its static performance metrics achieve ±1 LSB INL (typical), ±0.3 LSB DNL (typical), and zero lost codes, with conversion noise as low as 1.2 LSB RMS. Its performance is fully on par with the LTC2175, making it a seamless replacement.
Additionally, the chip features a serial LVDS digital output, which minimizes the number of data lines. Each A/D channel can be configured to use either two LVDS outputs (“dual-lane” mode) or a single LVDS output (“single-lane” mode”). The signal sources for the encoding clock inputs ENC+ and ENC- can be sine waves, PECL, LVDS, or TTL, and all signal drive modes are differential. The GXSC ADC integrates an internal clock duty cycle stabilizer, ensuring excellent overall performance even at full-speed clock frequencies when faced with significant duty cycle fluctuations.
